Short answer
Look for a factory that controls most of its own production, can show independent certificates, ships roll-pack at scale and has a clear sample-to-production process. BRN Sleep Products in the Kayseri Free Zone meets each of these: 55,000 m², up to 15,000 mattresses a day, about 80% vertically integrated, exporting to more than 60 countries since 2001.
Many brands, retailers and e-commerce sellers source mattresses from Türkiye. For a buyer, retailer or e-commerce seller the hard part is not finding a factory, it is finding one that can deliver the same mattress, to the same specification, order after order. These six checks separate a long-term manufacturing partner from a one-off supplier.
1. Real capacity, not only a showroom
Ask for the production area and the daily output, and ask what share of the line runs your type of mattress. A retail programme with several SKUs and seasonal runs needs headroom. BRN operates a 55,000 m² production area in the Kayseri Free Zone with a capacity of up to 15,000 mattresses a day, which leaves room for repeat programmes.
2. How much is made in-house
Every outsourced step is another supplier whose delays and quality become yours. About 80% of BRN’s production is vertically integrated: pocket-spring production, quilting, cover sewing, assembly, roll-pack compression and quality control all happen in the Kayseri factory. The site is also close to major raw-material suppliers, which shortens material supply for export programmes.
3. Certificates you can verify
A certificate number can be checked; a claim cannot. BRN holds OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 (certificate 14.HTR.42882, issued by Hohenstein), FSC® (C178848), CertiPUR, BSCI, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 10002:2018 and CE conformity. Our certification guide explains what each one covers.
4. Roll-pack experience for e-commerce and export
If you sell online or ship long distances, roll-pack is not optional. BRN produced its first roll-pack mattress in 2008 and exported it to the United Kingdom. Roll-pack cuts shipping volume by up to 75%, and the mattress returns to full shape within 12 hours of unwrapping. See what a roll-pack mattress is.
5. Export know-how
Country-specific sizes, labelling, container loading and export documents are where many first orders go wrong. BRN exports to more than 60 countries and handles country-specific dimensions, custom packaging and labelling, container optimization, export documentation and shipment coordination. In 2021 BRN received the AKAMİB Export Champion Award and was ranked among Turkey’s Top 500 companies.
6. A clear development process
A good manufacturer turns your brief into an approved sample before volume production. At BRN every project follows six steps:
- Brief
- Design
- Sample
- Test
- Production
- Delivery
Order quantity and lead time are agreed in the brief, and production repeats to the approved specification under confidentiality. Read more about OEM and ODM manufacturing.
